Campus Communities is participating in the ongoing Official Community Planning process to align our vision with broader community and CEP stakeholder goals. After the OCP process we anticipate launching rezoning and subdivision initiatives on specific sites to allow for future development. Once rezoning and subdivision is complete (along with any required “horizontal” services/infrastructure) we will seek developers to enter 99-year prepaid leases on specific sites to develop buildings. The developers will be responsible for designing and building their project on the leased land – applying for their own DP and BP.
We anticipate exploring a variety of developments at the Canada Education Park including collaborations in health sciences, research, technology and public-private partnerships. South Vedder is an incredible area with an exciting future. Stay tuned.
